Instructions for Standard Banners

  • For standard Flash SWFs using a clickTag and loaded directly into DFA, nothing higher than 10.1, Flash 9 is preferred. For rich media SWFs loaded into Studio, any Flash version is fine as long as all child and parent files are the same version.
  • All ads require a backup JPG, PNG, GIF or SWF no larger than 40KB that must be sized to the exact pixel dimensions (320x50, 300x50).
  • File Weight: 35K
  • Max Initial File Load Size: 15KB
  • Looping: 3 Loops Max
  • Animation: Max 15 seconds
  • Frame rate must be no more than 18 FPS.
  • The advertiser must be listed on the ad by either the Advertiser Name or URL, preferably Advertiser Name.
  • Ads may NOT have transparent backgrounds and may NEVER blend into the screen content.
  • All submitted creatives must have a border so that all creatives' boundaries are clearly identified. Border should be at least 1 pixel and dark to distinguish it from creatives' content. This includes ads of all colors and sizes.
  • All click-through URLs must open in a new browser window.

Instructions for Creatives Rich Media

  • Minimum Required Controls: Control = “Close X” on expanded panel and “Expand” on collapsed panel Font = 8pt (11px) - 16pt (21px)

  • Maximum Animation Length (i.e. Flash™): 15 seconds
  • Max Video & Animation Frame Rate: 24 fps
  • User-initiated Audio: User initiated /PSUE/User Initiated by click
  • Retract Feature = Either tap to close/expand Video may be played in native player which has standard controls.
  • Custom video players must include: Play, Pause, Mute (volume control to zero (0) output may be included instead of or in addition to Mute control)

Expandable Creative

  • 300x50 - 300x250, Full Screen (Technical restrictions may apply for full screen expansion)
  • 320x50 - 320x416, Full Screen (Technical restrictions may apply for full screen expansion)
  • Expansion File Size: 120k (40k initial load and 80k).
  • File size and animation requirements are same as standard ads.
  • Must be user-initiated for expansion and sound.
  • Must have a close button and automatically close when rolled off.
  • If roll-over initiated, there must be a 1-second delay on expansion.
  • Advertiser pays additional serving costs.

Instructions for Video Mobile

  • Standard Resolution Size: 640x360 or larger
  • Aspect Ratio: 4:3 or 16:9
  • Options Ad Position: Pre-Roll, Mind-Roll, Post-Roll
  • Video bitrate: 10 Mbps or higher
  • Codecs: h264
  • Max File Size: 200MB
  • Time Length: 15 sec
  • Video Frame Rate: 24 + fps
  • Video Duration: Max 30 Seconds (It is recommended that 15 second for best results in the campaigns)
  • File Specifications: MP4, MOV, FLV, WMV, OGG, MPG, WebM
  • Animation/Looping: Permitted. Unlimited looping within 15 Seconds
  • Audio channels: stereo
  • Audio: Auto initiated
  • Audio rate: 48 kbit/s
  • User Initiated on tap only. Audio must stop when the video is closed.
  • Mobile video does not support companions at this time
